WebMay 26, 2015 · 3,951 Posts. #3 · May 26, 2015. I had the 5 leaf mid eye on our 66 fastback and it wasn't overly stiff. The 5 leaf is a 195lb spring rate, the 4.5 is 175lb. You might consider the Del-Alum bushing kit for your new leafs. Having grease-able pivot points on the leaf springs brings a lot to the car.
