Despite having bought the tank, stand and sump used (it didn’t look used), I was going to get the rest of my equipment new. WebOct 28, 2009 · Currently, I have a 30G tank with about a 3-4" deep sandbed that is an 80/20 blend of SeaFlor Special Grade Reef Sand and Tropic Marine Tahitian Moon Sand. It was a stupid idea to mix the black sand in with the lighter sand in the first place. And now I want to put in a smaller-grained sand.
