WebExcuse the print quality, I almost never use Cura. However, lowering the skin expand distance from default of 1.2mm down to 0.5mm has completely eliminated the hull line. To limit both of these effects, I highly recommend you set a max combing distance of 30-50mm. Leaving it at 0 will cause detrimental artifacts in many geometries. Disabling combing entirely is not recommended, as it leads to an insane number of retractions for printing infill.
WebMar 6, 2024 · The trick to printing PETG is in your slicer set Z offset to 0.2mm and turn first layer speed and acceleration well down. I currently use 15mm/s speed and 300mm/s2 acceleration. The large Z offset is to make sure the nozzle does not tough the extruded filament as PETG is very sticky.
